A very well step taken by Vedanta together with the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Nand Ghars are dedicated to benefiting rural children and women in India. This project's main aim is to ensure rural India should not be left behind in India's march towards progress.
Nand Ghar’s mission is committed to the Prime Minister's national vision to provide proper nutrition to every child in India, providing better education, healthcare and to empower women with skill development, so they can earn their living and feel empowered. This project will transform the life of 8.5 Cr children and 2 Cr Women across rural INDIA with the help of Nand Ghars (Modern Anganwadis). The Modern Nand Ghars have designed to improve children’s learning through the E-Learning module, this will make the whole learning experience very joyful for the children and inspire them to learn more. To make the model integrated, Nand Ghars are ensuring that women undergo entrepreneurship training, including skill enhancement to start their micro-enterprise with extensive skill training and credit linkages, thereby increasing their contribution towards the Indian economy. Every Nand Ghar has the latest infrastructure, which includes the latest Schnell technology which is earthquake resistant and fireproof, Solar Panels: 24 x 7 electricity for essential facilities, healthy sanitation and inculcating behavioral changes, Smart TV: E-Learning through 40 weeks of learning curriculum for children, Water Purifiers: Access to safe drinking water.
Today more than 1600 Nand Ghars are running across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha are a testimony to our commitment to constructing 4000 centers across 11 states in India.
