Sewa Sarthak Kalyan Samiti is standing strong with the Prime Ministers LPG schemes (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna). We are spreading awareness and the benefits of clean fuel among the women (as they are the Annapurna of the home) by conducting LPG panchayats across various major districts of Madhya Pradesh. We have conducted LPG panchayats in a backward area in Indore, Dhar, Barwani & Tikamgarh.
Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna, where LPG connections are
providing to families below the poverty line. The LPG Panchayat is a platform
where all the beneficiaries of the scheme can connect by sharing experiences
and promote mutual learning about the LPG connection. The main purpose of the
scheme is to provide awareness between the LPG users about the proper use of
clean fuel, how it is beneficial for the environment we are living in, health, and
other benefits of the same. LPG Consumers can also interact with each other and
solve all doubts. This scheme spread awareness among the people who have the
wrong traditional belief with the help of NGOs, PSUs, the social workers. Under
this scheme around 1 lakh, LPG panchayats are helping the people to solve the queries
and spread awareness among the people about the LPG. Every LPG Panchayat goal
is to bring together 100 consumers at a nearby place to talk about sustainable and
safe usage of LPG (liquid petroleum gas). It is also a community forum to
discuss the benefits of LPG and also spread awareness of the linkage between
the use of clean fuel for cooking will be beneficial for our health and focus
on women empowerment. So far, more than 33.5 million women have been given LPG
connections under the scheme, one of the most important welfare programs of the
Union government for poor women.
